Terms of use

One account per person. Each UTC date has one official challenge of ten questions; each question allows one attempt within 20 seconds, timed by our server. Late answers are not accepted.

Automated play, sharing answers during the live challenge, creating multiple accounts or attempting to tamper with timing or scoring may result in removal of results or accounts.

Answers are checked against named sources with reference dates. If a verified answer is later found to be wrong, it is corrected and every affected result is rescored consistently.

Usernames must not impersonate others or be offensive. ASCEND is provided as-is and may change over time.
